2017 St. Pat's Comedy for a Cause

Plans are already under way for our smash hit ST. PAT'S COMEDY FOR A CAUSE event scheduled for March 11, 2017!  This year's net proceeds from this event will go to benefit Herod Elementary's playground equipment effort.  Thanks to your generosity, past events have helped to build Phase 1 and 2 of the A.A. Comeaux skate board park - a model skateboard park unmatched by any Acadiana city.  Last year's event funded a total renovation to the Christian Service Center soup kitchen.

This year’s comedy lineup includes the Cajun Queen Caroline Picard.  When she hits the stage with her signature red boots, her audience has about six seconds to get on her wavelength. Caroline lets them know right away that they are about to experience something really refreshing - a real person that is comfortable with her beliefs and has no problem making you laugh at them. Once Caroline is on stage it's crystal clear that you have come to the house of “The Queen” and you will play by her rules.  This born and raised Louisiana lady, has a style that is all her own.  Caroline is a favorite in the clubs around the country, and with the troops overseas.  She has done three tours in Iraq, as well as Kosovo, this was her 16th overseas tour. Her credits in the industry include XM Radio, Sirius Radio, AOL Radio, National Lampoon Radio.   Her film credits are Actor/Associate Producer on “Fist Full of Pills” which was presented an “Honorary Award” at The Just for Laughs international festival in Montreal, in 2005.  Her comedic awards include Comic of the Year 2002 for Hysterical Management and Hysterical’s Award of Excellence for her professionalism on and off the stage.

We are also excited to have funny man Carl Faulkenberry.  Carl has appeared on several television shows such as CBS Morning Show, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, Showtime’s Comedy Network and MTV’s Half Hour Comedy Hour.  He has appeared at such clubs as the Comic Strip in New York, the Improv in Los Angeles and Zanies in Chicago.  Carl has also worked as a morning drive personality for several radio stations.  These two performers are a guaranteed good time!
